I have worked in soft furnishings for over 17 years - starting up my curtain and blind making business back in 2005. It has grown steadily over the years very much fitting in with my children growing up. I am initially from London and moved to the Isle of Wight in 2001 and then finally to Winchester in 2023.
My style is relaxed, friendly and professional. Much of my work has come through repeat clients and client referrals. Indeed, many of my clients have become firm friends.
I offer a fully comprehensive design, make up, fitting, and dress service. This starts with a telephone consultation followed by a home visit. I bring fabric books and curtain pole samples to discuss your requirements and help you with your design ideas. I measure up, work out fabric quantities and provide a quote for the completed work. Once approved, I put the production process into motion to ensure your design ideas are finally brought to life.
If you have already decided on a design scheme, already have your chosen fabric and just want me to make up and fit your curtains or blinds, then I also offer a simple make and fit service. This involves measuring up and then simply making up and fitting everything to your specific requirements.
Alongside the curtains and blinds, I also make pleated lampshades, bed valances, headboards and cushions.
Listed below are some of my favourite fabric designers that produce fabulous fabrics ideal for curtains and blinds.
Before the making process of curtains or blinds, there is a certain amount of design work that needs to be undertaken to ensure the end result is perfect. It requires meticulous measuring and ensuring suitability of poles and tracks. I advise on the best headings for each project and then finally work out the amount of fabric required.
I worked alongside interior designers to design and supply curtains and blinds for their projects.
